Questions

What counts as a billable plan?

Generating a takeoff from a plan set. The square footage is the finished area read off the plans — and the derivation is stored with the bid, so you can always see how the number was reached. Re-running a revision of a job you've already quoted isn't billed again.

What if the plans don't state a square footage?

The engine sums the finished floor areas from the plan's own area schedules and records exactly what it added and excluded — garage, unfinished basement, covered porch. If it genuinely can't determine an area, nothing is billed for that plan.

Is there a seat cost?

No. Add your whole estimating team, your inside sales people and your manager. You're billed on plans run, not on how many people log in.

Is there a minimum or a contract?

No minimum and no annual contract. Quiet month, small bill. We'd rather earn the next month.

How does billing actually work?

Charges accrue per bid and are invoiced on a 14-day cycle to a card on file. You can see exactly what's accrued at any point before it bills.

Do you take a cut of the jobs we win?

No. We charge for producing the takeoff. What you quote and what you make on it is yours.

Try it on a job you've already bid

You already know the right answer for that one. It's the only honest test.
